We didn’t have to worry about the wheels of the rolling bags and all the uneven streets. Not to mention the noise from the rolling bags… it’s quite a cacophony when we “rolled-out” to the bus. My dad especially liked his backpack as it made him stand up straight. It’s the little things. We both took smaller day bags with us, but my bags were pretty much full — who knew a tripod was so big? And these bags can be over packed so they will not pass carry-on restrictions. I found that out when I started in Chicago. At the airport I shifted items in my bag, and it then passed carry-on requirements. So where does one put the trinkets and treasures acquired on the way?

I brought another duffle bag inside my backpack.

[vc_empty_space height=”30px”]

And I started carrying it about a week after we got there. I felt a little like a pack mule by the end of the trip, but I wanted to bring back goodies for everyone. I’m so glad I listened to my family and brought it so I didn’t have to purchase a bag. I checked my convertible backpack on the flight home and carried on my duffle bag and daypack. So if you don’t mind the extra weight, carrying three bags can be done.

Okay, okay, I’ll try to stop with the movie references.
